[BlueOnyx:21457] DNS errors

I was receiving the 'too many hops' error related to a new domain setup 
and found it had not been added to Email in the vsite setup. After I 
added, started getting 'SYSERR(root): rewrite: excessive recursion	(max 
50), ruleset canonify'.

When I try to restart DNS, it fails to start. I've checked all the 
permissions and compared to other older servers that work but all seems 
fine. I found a related post on the web and checked virtusertable and 
local-host-names as well as resolve.conf, all files look correct. In the 
post, Michael suggests this link to help but it is no longer found...

This is the errors I'm receiving, anyone dealt with this issue?
