Port 444: HTTP   only
Port  81: HTTPS  only

So it is either http://mail.domain.com:444/login or
https://mail.domain.com:81/login.

But https://mail.domain.com:444/login (HTTPS URL prefix + HTTP port
444!) will always throw that error, because you're trying to access a
pure HTTP port via HTTPS.
