Hi,<br>I have been able to get this issue resolved.<br>I logged in as root <br>[root@localhost ~]# cd /<br>[root@localhost ~]# du -s *<br>(I noted in the list a whooping 4GB size file called 0bits<br>I deleted this file and kept the rest, did a yum update and rebooted my server.<br>

</div>Out of these two, the fact that your / is 100% full is much more likely to<br>
cause problems such as this. Before you do anything else, make sure that your<br>
root partition has some free space and then try again.<br>
<br>
On a Linux system no partition should ever be filled up to 100%, as that can<br>
cause quite a lot of grief.<br>
