Usually restarting the Apache server will recreate the log files with the correct ownerships/permissions. Simply use "service httpd restart".

Subject: [BlueOnyx:08996] /var/log/httpd
<br />
<br />> I made a really dumb .. dumb error this evening.
<br />>
<br />>
I deleted everything from /var/log/httpd
<br />>
<br />>
So.... although I opened an access_log and error_log with
<br />>
root root owner, neither of those are collecting any entries.
<br />>
<br />>
And, I'm sure there are other logs that I can't remember.
<br />>
<br />>
1. Is root the right owner?
<br />>
2. I've done service syslog restart .... what else can I try?
<br />>
3. What other files should be in that dir?
<br />>
<br />>
thanks in advance
<br />>
