Since the recent updates, a site that has an expired certificate
issues a 301 redirect to the same https url. This loops until the
browser gets tired and gives up. Granted, the certificates should
not be allowed to expire but that sometimes happens when customers
install their own. <br>

Any suggestions as to how to get more reasonable behavior?<br>
