I'll agree with Larry. I have a "Smart Relay Server" configured on most of our servers -- done in the management GUI. Its never disappeared after updates.

<br />I think you're finding the same thing many of us have Chad - if you manually modify config files in the operating system, the BlueOnyx management scripts will overwrite those changes. I believe its because the management scripts that build those configuration files work off what's in the management CODB. If you manually change a config file - that change doesn't get into the CODB, and the next time that config file is automatically recreated (such as when adding/deleting a site) -- those manual changes you made are overwritten.

<br />Stick with putting your "Smart Relay Server" in the management GUI, and you shouldn't loose it when the software is upgraded.
