Check your DNS setting Dirk. That may be your problem.

<br />Many times with Linux, you'll see a long pause when logging in while the system attempts a reverse-DNS-lookup to log the connection. Its usually caused by not having DNS resolution set up correctly, or is not working.
<br />
<br />So that may be the cause of your login pause problem. Just insure your DNS is working right.

My suggestion is, that the newsfeed from blueonyx cannot be fetched and there is
no timeout which will stopping to fetch the news after some seconds. So the
application is waiting and waiting.

If I login to a subpage at the same server, login is working within 1-2 seconds.

If I login to a 5108R I get the message that the news cannot be displayed.

Please add a timeout in 5208R for fetching the blueonyx news or add a switch to
turn off the news.
