<br />Log into the GUI first after setting the IP address in the command line. In the GUI, set a password for the "admin" account. That will be both the "admin" account password at the command line, and will also be the root password. THEN, you can use the command line with no problems. But if you only set the root password at the command line, the admin account will never get a password.

<br />Once you've done that and both accounts have a password - you can change the root password at the command line.
<br />
<br />But don't ever change the "admin" account password at the command line - as it won't be populated into the BlueOnyx COE database (and the admin account will act weird/not work).
