Never mind that the same theme is/was running on a different account with 99% the same setup on the same server, but it was the theme causing the crash. I hadn't enabled any new plug ins after the migration, etc. (For those who want to know, I used BackupBuddy to do the conversion.)</div><div><br /></div><div>I ended up wiping out the new site, grabbing the exact same backup and doing the restore again. Made my changes, and no problems to be had. Overall, 'weird' doesn't do this one justice. </div>

It’s also taken care of other strange wordpress behavior from time to time. DNS is not hosting on the machine. I'm using windows hosts file to get to the 'newdomain'. Old site (build) is in DNS. As I would make the changes I would refresh the newdomain site so I could see the changes.
