<div>I'm having to rebuild a server that crashed a few days ago. I've got a cmuExport from 1Jan for one particular site, and have been trying to restore it. But I'm running into a problem, and was wondering if anyone had seen this before.</div>

<div>The cmuImport starts normally, and appears to be working - until it gets about half way through creating the site users. Then it suddenly starts erroring with:</div>
<div><b>Creating user: deriding</b> (one of the usernames)

<div><b>restoring archive for deriding</b>
<br /></div>
<div><b>ERROR extractTar: Home directory does not exist</b></div>

<div>Then it goes on to the next user, and errors for that user too. In all, a restore of the site which had about 123 users comes up with a site of just 25 users.</div>

<div>Has anyone ever seen this behavior in a cmuImport? I've been using that program for more than ten years - and this is a first for me.</div>

<div>Anyone got any ideas on how to restore these users? A second run of the restore merely has me answering "DROP" to a bunch of already created users, and then it starts erroring again like the first run.</div>
