That's exactly why whenever I change a BlueOnyx password, especially the admin password, I test it before logging out. I always open a browser in a different VM, and try to log in with the user/password I just changed.

That way if there is a problem - I'm still logged in the first window/browser/VM - so I can try again. Saves a lot of trouble trying to find a way back in when your new password doesn't work due to a exotic character. Lets just say - learned from experience!

exactly the same oddity, just with another user, a siteadmin.
>
Use "passwd <username>" and for testing set a simpler password
without
>
any exotic punctuation. Then try again and it should work.
>
>
The password may contain any alphanumeric character plus: !#$%()*+,-.:;=
>
>
Anything else will be accepted by the login form, but during the submit
>
to CCEd the "illegal" characters will be filtered out and that usually
>
then fails the authentication.
