Subject: [BlueOnyx:00991] New BlueOnyx ISO image: BlueOnyx-5.3-20090405.iso

Hi all,

Due to the release of CentOS 5.3 we made a new BlueOnyx ISO image available,

which allows to directly install a CentOS 5.3 based BlueOnyx.

Of course it's also possible to "yum update" and existing CentOS 5.2 based
BlueOnyx to CentOS 5.3.

The new ISO image (BlueOnyx-5.3-20090405.iso) is currently distributed to
the
mirrors and should be available sometime today. The main download URL with
links to the mirrors is:

http://www.blueonyx.it/index.php?page=downloads

The TAR-ball installer has also been updated. Instructions for the TAR-ball
installs and the download URL are listed here:

http://www.blueonyx.it/index.php?page=tar-ball-installer

Aventurin{e} / OpenVZ BlueOnyx OS template:

A CentOS 5.3 based OS template for BlueOnyx has been released during the
weekend and is available through YUM on Aventurin{e} master nodes. (yum
install ostemplate-blueonyx).

How to identify a CentOS 5.3 based BlueOnyx:

"cat /etc/redhat-release" reads: "CentOS release 5.3 (Final)"

"cat "/etc/build" reads: "build 20090405 for a 5106R in en_US"

Additionally "Software Updates" / "Installed Software" should show the
version
number of BlueOnyx as "2.20090405", although the updated version number may
not update until the next time you restart CCEd.

With best regards
