[BlueOnyx:02159] Kernel Panic - Boooom!

Hi all,

OK something very strange / never before experienced phenomena
happened to one of my BX instances this morning. I awoke to find that
it had frozen - kernel panic.

Like I said, this is totally unheard of for me - so I'm at a bit of a
loss as to how to figure out if it's going to be possible to discover
the root cause - perhaps something spooky is going on and it might
happen again soon?

1) There is no access to this server from the outside world (apart
from via VPN), apart from a ZEUS webserver.
2) The instance hasn't been patched for a while (so it does not
include this new kernel)
3) The problem happened at around 3am - typically a time when logs /
backups / emails are being sent out.
4) System is running in a VM, but the VM server was fine, as was
another BX instance.

Perhaps it would be a natural reaction to patch this system up to
latest updates - but I'm just concerned this may cause new problems.
Previously this system had run (and not been restarted) for around 10
months.

So if anyone has any tips for tracking the cause of this one down - I
would really appreciate it.

Cheers,

Jeff
