With BlueOnyx we're doing a bit of automatic pre-configuring of services upon 
install. So typically services like SMTP, SMTP-Auth, POP3 and IMAP are 
auto-configured to be enabled and also automatic YUM updates are set to "On".

So Dovecot should have been running right away. But apparently that had not 
happened in your case. Or Dovecot *had* been enabled, but wasn't running 
anymore for an unknown reason.
