Hey Ken. This is an issue that I had running BQ on a Dell 6650 with 4gig of
memory.

What is the easy? Way to get it fired up with the smp kernel?

Check using
uname -a
and see if you are running an smp kernel. If you are not, then it will only 
show 3 gigs.


E.g.
Linux server   2.6.9-67.0.22.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Jul 23 17:30:51 EDT 2008 i686 
i686 i386 GNU/Linux
