>From the various BlueOnyx boxes that I monitor I randomly get an email like
this like once a day. Not always the same server, not every box every day. But
it certainly happens more often than I'd like to see such a (false) report.

It appears to be a false report, because when I check FTP is running and my
external service monitoring (Zenoss) has not indicated that FTP had gone down
to begin with. Zenoss checks like once a minute, while Active Monitor checks
only once every 15 minutes.

So somewhat is fishy with the Active Monitor script that checks FTP. I'll
give it another work over to make it more relieable.
