Mmmmmmm.   If you see this happen "next time", then what you might try 
is removing all the entries in the alias field, click save, then put the 
entries back (you can cut & paste) and save again and see if that cures 
it.    I've seen this happen when a site has been migrated via CMU 
before, going back to the RaQ550 days.   I still see it happen 
"occasionally".
