Looks like the error only apears when the e-mail has a attatchment
I now disabled spamAssasin to let the emails go trough
Hope michael can sort it out

Suddenly today i see a server with this error

spamass-milter[30699]: Thrown error: poll says my read pipe is busted
has this something to do with the problems Jeffrey has ?

it started after a update of 06-03-2010

Yeah, I contacted you offlist about this in between and it is getting
sorted.
