[BlueOnyx:05437] Migration problems from RaQ550

I just migrated 10 vitual sites from an old RaQ550 to BlueOnyx, a few
problems occured.

Firstly random users didn't have a file called mbox in their home
directories, instead they had a symbolic link with the full path to the
saved-messages folder within their ~/mail folder which of course broke as
the full path had changed.

An interesting problem occured, many of the users had their full email address
instead of just their username in Outlook POP setting, the RaQ 550 has been accepting
that fine but it broke every user from that location because the fail count locked
out their NAT IP address in PAM. Is there some way to ignore
the domain name portion of a POP username like the RaQ 550 did?
