Sorry – I didn’t mean to repeat info you already have.  But, can’t you just un-tick the “Enable SSL” checkbox in that area to disable or create a self-signed cert and tick Enable to update things?

Look farther down the left side panel once you’ve chosen the site to modify.  There’s a completely separate SSL category second to the bottom.

Perhaps I have bad eyes but I am unable to find the check box to turn SSL on/off after a site has been added.   During the "Add Site" function, there is a list of check boxes: 

Enable CGI 
Enable SSI 
Enable Shell Access 
Enable SSL 

Checking the SSL box turns on the SSL function for the new site. 

After the site has been added, each of these check boxes can be found under the Service function of site - except for SSL.   The only thing available appears to be the SSL section that is used to import/export certificates.   I am unable to find a way to turn SSL on/off for a site via the same type check box that was used during the Add Site function. 

How is the accomplished after a site has been added?
