Not really. We used a different approach and integrated PAM_ABL into BlueOnyx, 
which also blocks logins after repeated failed logins. 

Dropping fail2ban into our repositories has the potential to interfere with 
firewall rules from third party firewall applications that people might 
already have. Default "out of the box" firewalling is something that easily 
shoot people into the foot. Hence I'd rather like to avoid that.
