[BlueOnyx:09048] Proftpd bad password logging

Hi,

When someone tries to log in to ftp using an invalid password, I have a
need to know what the password actually was that they tried to use.
There is no option for it that I can find in proftpd, so I have turned
towards looking at the source to see if I can hack it in, but I cannot
find it. It's not in the BlueOnyx SVN repo, nor is there an SRPM that I
can find.

Hacking the source seems a bit drastic (and also I don't actually know
C), so I would be happy to hear some alternative solutions but if anyone
can point me to the source, I could get started.
