But of course that's not retro-active to old CD images.   And we know 
that those old images do hang around.  (Right!?)  ;)

DD, you wondered if the RAID resync indicated hardware fault.  It 
doesn't necessarily.   When a system is freshly imaged then it will 
resync once it's rebooted.  So in other words, the resync is normal on a 
new installation.  (It's actually syncing the disks for the first time).
