Yeah, the last "swatch" update was supposed to deal with those. Since the 
updates were installed, I saw these redundant emails go away and only got the 
"old style" emails from "Software Updates" again. 

However, with the recent update of Scientific Linux 6.2 they briefly came back 
until "swatch" dealt with them again. So give it another day or so to sort 
itself out.
