Yes, agreed... the GUI doesn't accept the wildcard (not sure why, but 
there's probably a fair reason for it) but adding it is simple.

In the shell as root, go

cd /etc/named
pico db.domainname.tld.include

Add the line to the end with the domain and IP done correctly:

---
; /var/named/chroot/var/named/db.assistwithsolutions.co.uk.include
; user customizations can be added here.

*.domainname.tld. in a 123.123.123.123
---

Note the sneaky little dot after 'tld' - it is required to show an FQDN.
