[BlueOnyx:10479] proftpd won't start

Richard,

I can't connect to the server via ftp.

ftp localhost shows:

Connected to localhost (127.0.0.1).
421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection

This issue showed up right after I updated via yum yesterday.  I got the 
proftpd and ssl updates that came out over the last couple of days.  To 
be clear, I did a yum update on 4-26 and then again on 5-6 (yesterday), 
so something happened with the updates that came out after 4-26.
