Put the file in /etc 
And restart mysql

Don forget to put the mysql group between brackets

I need to do some tinkering on an only BQ box with Brian's mysql 
and php packages.

Trying to import a db results in an error (max_allowed_packets) 
which I guess would normally be changed in /etc/my.cnf

But I don't have an /etc/my.cnf :-)

How / where do I crank this setting up on a box wide basis?
