[BlueOnyx:11475] Email Vs. user at www.domain on 5107

Someone just posted about OpenWebmail adding the www to the user email. I
don't want cross post so here it goes:

My situation is the same, but I'm not using Openwebmail, my user logs in
via Outlook/Thunderbird.
The email goes out fine, but if I remove the www on the preferences, the
server replies with:
Oct  3 10:14:27 blue sendmail[16136]: q93DERHF016136: SYSERR(root):
rewrite: excessive recursion (max 50), ruleset canonify

I searched the mailing lists and someone fixed it by editing the
virtusertable.
I have a defined web and mail aliases of the domain (auto-created on the
time I set the domain).

Does anyone have a recipe to fix this?
