Uuuh, that's a nasty one. I'd only manually delete the RPM database
directory as very, very, very last resorts. After making backups of it
and the entire VPS.

Yeah, that's certainly the best. As there aren't any YUM updates for
BlueQuartz anymore, a shot RPM database is probably the least of the
problems.
