Hi Richard,
It may or may not complete and move on.   If it does not, then you may 
wish to consider rebooting into single user mode and then manually 
purging like so:
rm /var/lib/abl/hosts.db
rm /var/lib/abl/users.db

FWIW, that would likely have allowed you to "purge" without having to 
reboot.  Something for "next time".   :)
