[BlueOnyx:14000] cron jobs not runing

I have noticed my logs aren't rotating and backing up. I checked and there 
are no archived logs since September 29th. 
Also my daily backup program is not initiating. 
I have both setup in cron.daily. 
How can I find out if my cron jobs are initiating on my server or there is 
a problem?
Also, when I send an email to the list, it never makes it. So I've been 
posting on the web. Not sure why, I always see, in my log, message accepted 
for delivery.
