Yeah, that problem has been around for years and likewise I did several
things over the years to make that stop or at least less frequent. I'll
look into that again.

In the meantime you can run this script as root to get the Aliases back:

/usr/sausalito/sbin/fix_web-and-email-server-aliasses.pl
