Yahoo and Microsoft are perpetually neck-and-neck front runners for the
most brain-dead providers of e-mail services, and it's been that way for
years.

Both routinely demonstrate cluelessness even the most basic operation of
e-mail. For *years* Yahoo would claim spam 'didn't come from us', when
even a novice at reading headers would see it did. MS routinely denies
responsibilty for swaths of network space that's clearly listed by ARIN as
belonging to them and under their control...virtually anything from
'outlook.com'.

I would agree that having the rest of the world patch things to accomodate
their supidity is the wrong approach. Unfortunately, they're also the
elephants in the room, and hard to ignore.
