The info in (/etc/hostname, /etc/hosts) were all correct
the fix was edit /etc/mail/sendmail.mc
and put the host name in and save
then
cd /etc/mail make all /sbin/service sendmail restart

The issue start on July 9 or 10

So imagine yes very frustrating and yes I did troubleshoot
All has been tested and works now
The IP's on that VPS now have been removed for the blacklist they were on.
