You can check two things:

1.) Run "swatch" manually from SSH. See if it shows any error messages.
If not, you're good.

2.) If not, check the MySQL settings of the AV-SPAM. You don't need to
flush the MySQL database there. Just make sure that it tells you it can
connect to MySQL and that the "Use MySQL" checkbox is ticked.

The Swatch component am_emailtraffic.pl is a bit verbose in regards to
error messages. But it has mechanisms built in to create missing MySQL
tables and to configure the avspam MySQL database in a way that it needs
it. During the above mentioned error message it realized that the tables
milter_users and milter_groups didn't exist. So it created them. Hence
you should have seen this error message only once or twice and
afterwards it sorted itself.
