Yes, I have two solutions now. One involves a reinstall/upgrade of the
MySQL-5.5 PKG through the GUI. The second one simply allows you to install the fixed MySQL-python RPM.

I'm currently uploading the following PKGs to NewLinQ and they should become available in a few minutes:

5X07R-MySQL-5.5.34-3.pkg
5X07R-MySQL-5.5.34-4.pkg
5X08R-MySQL-5.5.34-3.pkg
5X08R-MySQL-5.5.34-4.pkg

the *-3 PKGs are rebuilds of the latest version which include the fixed MySQL-python. This is for people who do NOT have a current subscription to updates, but have the old version installed. They can uninstall/reinstall MySQL and will be good.

The *-4 PKGs contain the same RPMs and only the version number has been bumped. If you install this via the GUI over an older MySQL PKG install, you will get the fixed MySQL-python as well.

In both cases you should then be able to do the YUM update just fine.

Now if you don't want to reinstall the MySQL PKG, then you can grab just the RPMs this way *if* you have the MySQL-5.5.34 PKG installed:

For 5107R/5207R:

rpm -hUv
http://devel.blueonyx.it/pub/BlueOnyx/5106R/CentOS6/MySQL55/i386/RPMS/MySQL-python-1.2.3-0.3.c1.1.el6.i686.rpm

For 5108R/5208R:

rpm -hUv
http://devel.blueonyx.it/pub/BlueOnyx/5106R/CentOS6/MySQL55/x86_64/RPMS/MySQL-python-1.2.3-0.3.c1.1.el6.x86_64.rpm

Once these are installed a "yum clean all" followed by "yum update"
should get you going again.
