I see. The "-public" contains the ~username/web/ directory. The
"-private" contains anything else. Such as email and non-public data
from his home directory.

If the tarballs get past a certain size, they're split. So you get
multiple smaller tarballs instead of one big. Off the bat I don't recall
what switch needs to be given to the tar command to extract such
multi-file archives. Do a "man tar" to see what it offers.

Even then: That user looks like he has more than 20GB of data. You got a
bit-hoarder there. ;-)
