Oh, indeed. Unless it's got a shiny surface and is important! Then it
has a good chance of winning. I once had my iPad on the desk (silvery
back of it turned upside, screen facing downward). That attracted a nice
pile of cat-goo as well. But fortunately it was easy to clean and left
no damage.

As for the cable modem: I really didn't want to RMA it in the state I
found it, as it would qualify as bio-weapon. So I gave the disassembled
case a proper rinse in the sink and did some careful dry-cleaning of the
electronics. Still didn't work. All the LEDs were on full bore and it
did nothing.

Couple of hours later I tried it again. Surprise! It's working again.
Wouldn't have imagined that.

As for the pending YUM updates: Let's aim for Wednesday 23:00 EST.
