We had a customer complaint this morning that their website was down
with a 503 error that says:
Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to
maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

/var/log/httpd/error_log showed this:
[Thu Sep 01 09:04:20.913395 2016] [proxy:error] [pid 10544]

OK, so FastCGI is to blame - apparently not running. I don't know
where to look for that, since it doesn't show up in systemctl. So I
went to the BlueOnyx GUI and changed the PHP mode to suPHP and the site
came alive. Changed back to FastCGI mode and the site still works.

I'm not sure what would have caused this, but I do see that we took a
yum update overnight where base-apache and base-ssl packages were
updated. Perhaps something to do with that?

In any event, changing PHP mode seems to jog things back.

Hope that helps someone.
