Hi,

problem seems still unresolved?
If I use the web ownership and want to run cgi scripts I get the CGIWrap error message " CGIWrap Error: Server UserID Mismatch ".
Is there a solution /workaround for the issue?

Regards,
Dirk

Hello,

we still have the CGI-Wrapper problem on one of our servers. On at least one website with CGI enabled we still get the userid error.

	CGIWrap Error: Server UserID Mismatch

The userid that the web server ran cgiwrap as does not match the
userid that was configured into the cgiwrap executable.

This is a configuration/setup problem with cgiwrap on this server.
Please contact the server administrator.

We tried the given fix of disabling & enabling the CGI option for the webserver.
We also double checked ownership and permissions of the files.

Does anyone have another idea how to resolve this problem?

With kind regards from Bad Vilbel

Jens Giedler

Hi all,

As mentioned in detail in [BlueOnyx:21143] we had an issue on 5209R with Perl-Scripts. We couldn't use CGI-Wrap as on older BlueOnyx versions, hence CGI and Perl-Scripts were executed as "apache" instead of the owner of the script.

Long story short: Taco Scargo found and fixed the issue and was so kind to provide the details. Many thanks to Taco!

I just published an updated CGI-Wrap RPM and and updated base-apache to the 5209R YUM repository.

If you do have CGI enabled on a website and want to make use of the change, then you need to toggle CGI off and back on again and save the changes.
