Hi all,

For some of you this might be old news, but I post it anyway:

Aventurin{e} 6109R has been released recently.

It now runs OpenVZ 7 on Virtuozzo Linux 7 (binary compatible with CentOS
7) and allows you to easily virtualize BlueOnyx, straight CentOS,
Debian, Ubuntu and some other Linux OS's.

As all previous versions it comes with a GUI that's borrowed from
BlueOnyx with management capabilities for the VPS's, included backup and
restore mechanisms and you can also easily migrate running VPS's from
one node to another.

Under the hood there are many new features such as snapshotting/restore,
VNC access (even via the GUI) for VPS's, on demand builds of fully
updated OS Templates, newer kernel that even allows you to use Docker
inside a VPS and more streamlined resource parameters for VPS's.

Screenshots of the ISO install procedure can be found here:

https://www.aventurin.net/index.php?page=6109r-iso-install

And this is how the GUI looks:

The FAQ section of the overhauled website also has articles that explain
how you can migrate VPS's from 6108R to 6109R and it has a "cheat sheet"
that helps you to familiarize yourself with the new command line options.

Aventurin{e} 6109R is the 5th interation of our OpenVZ based VPS
appliance software and has been around since 2006. This new version
offers an easy migration path for existing Aventurin{e} clients and
comes with many new features that make an upgrade from an older
Aventurin[e} highly recommendable.

While 6109R is primarily designed to be managed via the GUI it can also
be managed entirely from the command line without any drawbacks and
compromises.

You can grab the ISO image free of charge here:

Without additional license extension the ISO allows you to run 1 VPS and
if you want to run more VPS's, you can get a license in the Solarspeed-,
BlueOnyx- or Compass Networks store.
