You can go to "Personal Profile" and on the bottom of it you can change
the Style of the GUI. The entry "Menu" defines where the menu is and how
it is displayed. The default "Side" works best.

In the default theme and style ("Fixed" / "Side" / "Light") the left
menu (collapsed or expanded) is part of the main page. So if the
expanded menu is longer than the contends of the page it should still be
possible to scroll the whole page down enough to see and access all menu
items.

Could you please let me know which GUI page is giving you issues and
what the screen resolution is?
