Hello Michael,

thank you for your investigation.
Nevertheless you have to turn off shell/ftp for the site completely (not only for the user) and turn it on again.
Only then will it work again with the SCP and SFTP.

The thing is, I'm not sure what "the error" is you're seeing. I really need to see the exact text. That's why I asked what you see when you attempt to login via SSH as that user.

If you open a support ticket via the GUI I'd gladly take a look at it and will see what I can find.
