Is there possible to see one common thing here?
- vsite name was part of the first part of the server name.

Our server: 
Vsite: *abc*.def.net
Server: *abc*.xyz.net

Your server: 
Vsite: 5210r. ??
Server: 5210r.smd.net

In my case it should be '5210r.smd.net', but it flipped to just '5210R'
and was then again changed back automatically to '5210r.smd.net':

> systemd-hostnamed[1188684]: Changed static host name to '5210r.smd.net'
> systemd-hostnamed[1188684]: Changed host name to '5210r'
> systemd-hostnamed[1188684]: Changed host name to '5210r.smd.net'
The question is why it did that, when no CCE handler was actually tasked to
mess with the host name.
