[BlueOnyx:24770] BlueOnyx 5208R SQL settings error

My old BlueOnyx 5208R has a issue.

I can login thru cli mysql -p 
I can set the username and password under "web applications" / "Setup SQL" status : MySQL connection possible with this settings
I can login to phpmyadmin  as root and password
cceclient shows the correct username and password that also woks in the above

but if I try to enter the same username and password in "Network Services" / "MySQL" I get status: MySQL connection cannot be established. Check settings. 
This means that I can not change anything on virtual sites if SQL is enabled, I then get " MySQL connection cannot be established. Please check the settings under 'Network Services' / 'MySQL Config' first. Also see if MySQL is running." 
Also "Automatic Backup" does not work.

I have tried  - Admserver restarted, and finaly server restarted - no change

And still I get "connection cannot be established".... I am lost for idees
