I just looked at it. Sorry, didn't have time for this before.

Larry's "fix" is for another issue: He is overriding the IP's from Vsites
that automatically get put into /etc/hosts. That doesn't address the
sporadically disappearing custom entries after this line:

# END of auto-generated code. Customize beneath this line.

The problem was caused by the relevant section that added the custom
additions back in being commented out in
/usr/sausalito/handlers/base/network/etchosts.pl on 5209R and 5210R. Not
sure how that happened.

I'm now publishing YUM updates for 5209R and 5210R that fix the issue.
