Hi Michael,

Ironically, it was the Oracle one I was trying to spin up as they have a freebie forever program, and I thought it would be a good place just to test things in a secure-ish environment for testing or staging of sites.

I was trying Oracle Linux 8.4 but it had issues with the repo for ARM, hence the question, as the freebie from Oracle has a lot more resources for the ARM processor VMs as to memory and bandwidth (and number of CPU cores).

So yeh I can spin up a VM anytime I really need to on an Intel based server, but just wanted to see if I could "easily" utilise the freebie (they have a very low end freebie forever intel based vm also), although I might just use it to config a VPN or something at some later date, just when I get round to it... as it is too much work right now with so many other things on my plate.

But I appreciate the suggestions and the tip.

Anyway, as I said, not a real issue, just wanted to make sure I was not missing anything or if there was a problem I could get around easily.
Regards
Brian

Yeah, I'd advise against something for which no updates are available.

There are ARM ports for EL8 and CentOS, Alma, Rocky and Oracle all have
    their ports for it.

But if you just want something to play around with? Why not just spin up
    a VM?
