It's quite strange that it would work for a period of time, and then 
suddenly quit working.   Are you able to verify the error message on the 
server log matches up with the delivery failure notification you 
receive?  ie: making sure it's all coming from the same server... I've 
seen this where customers have "split brain" setups (ie: email is hosted 
on a different VSITE or server than the www) and mail is sent to the 
wrong VSITE.
