Neal, I just recently installed on an R620 from USB.  First, disable
UEFI.  Boot BIOS method using F12 to select USB.  Second, copying the
ISO to the USB drive MUST be done in DD mode.  If using rufus, it will
ask you if you want to use DD mode.  The issues should resolve after
making the USB image in DD mode.  For some reason the newer installer
doesn't like the other method where the older installers were fine with
it.
