Hi all,

This doesn't affect BlueOnyx, but users of our Aventurin{e} 6109R:
===================================================================

Last night the OpenVZ guys published a set of YUM updates for OpenVZ 7.

This included a new OpenVZ kernel and a whole stack of updated RPMs for
the VM/CT management.

This morning we were alerted by clients that these updates left them
unable to start or restart CTs and VMs and we could also replicate the
problem on our end:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
[root at node ~]# prlctl start 727
WARNING: You are using a deprecated CLI component that won't be
installed by default in the next major release. Please use virsh instead
Starting the CT...
Failed to start the CT: PRL_ERR_VZCTL_OPERATION_FAILED (Details: vcmmd:
failed to register Container: Failed to get VCMMD D-Bus name
vcmmd: failed to unregister Container: Failed to get VCMMD D-Bus name
vcmmd: failed to unregister Container: Failed to get VCMMD D-Bus name
Failed to start the Container
)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The OpenVZ update caused the service "vcmmd" to no longer work correctly
and subsequently VMs and CTs could no longer be started or restarted.

To fix this we published an updated "swatch" RPM to the Aventurin{e}
6109R YUM repositories, which now contains the following script:

/usr/sausalito/sbin/vcmmd-rollback.sh

If you are affected by this problem, then please do this:

yum clean all
yum update

That will install our updated "swatch" RPM and will execute the script
/usr/sausalito/sbin/vcmmd-rollback.sh

That will perform a rollback of the "vcmmd" RPM to the last working
version and will also prevent that "vcmmd" will be updated during
subsequent YUM updates.

We will advice once a fixed version of "vcmmd" has been released by the
OpenVZ makers and will then publish another "swatch" RPM that allows the
installation of the fixed version of "vcmmd".
